Security plan finalised for Youm-e-Ali (RA) in Karachi

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) Additional Inspector General of Police - Karachi Azad Khan chaired a key meeting at the Karachi Police Office to review and finalise security arrangements for 21st Ramazan, observed as Youm-e-Ali (RA).

According to a spokesperson for Karachi Police on Wednesday, the meeting undertook a detailed assessment of security, traffic management and administrative measures for the occasion.

Religious scholars and organisers of majalis and processions appreciated previous steps taken by the police and presented their suggestions to further improve arrangements.

The Additional IGP Karachi directed police officers to maintain close coordination with the civil administration and ensure foolproof security, particularly for religious scholars and participants of gatherings and processions.

The meeting was attended by scholars, organisers of religious congregations and processions, zonal DIGPs, DIGP Traffic, DIGP Security and Emergency, district SSPs and other senior officials.
