ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Information Pakistan stated that the Afghan Taliban regime carried out unprovoked attacks along multiple points of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, prompting a swift and forceful response from Pakistan’s security forces.
In an official statement, the ministry said the Taliban miscalculated the situation and opened fire at several locations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which was met with an immediate and effective counter by Pakistani forces.
According to the statement, heavy losses were inflicted on Taliban forces in sectors including Chitral, Khyber, Mohmand, Kurram, and Bajaur, causing significant damage to multiple posts and military equipment.
