Security Forces repulse Afghan Taliban attacks in Balochistan, 27 killed:Tarar

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Mar, 2026) Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Tuesday that security forces repulsed coordinated Afghan Taliban assaults on border posts in Northern Balochistan’s Qilla Saifullah, Noshki and Chaman districts under Operation Ghazanfar lil Haq.

Sharing updates till 10:00 am Tuesday, the spokesperson said Taliban Khawarij militants mounted 16 ground assaults and 25 fire raids in Balochistan. Each attack was successfully thwarted, leaving 27 Afghan Taliban killed and scores more injured.

One Frontier Corps soldier embraced martyrdom while five others sustained injuries in the defence.

The minister added that in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a physical attack was attempted at one location and fire raids were conducted on 12 others, all repulsed without any loss of life.

He said 40 Afghan Taliban were killed in overnight operations.

Follow-up actions are continuing, with a detailed update of the operation to be shared in the afternoon.
