Security forces demonstrate prompt response in anti-terror mock drill

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The law enforcement agencies conducted a comprehensive mock exercise at Faizan-e-Madina Center in the jurisdiction of Madina Town police station to review preparedness against potential terrorist threats.

Police spokesman said here on Saturday that SHO Madina Town Adeel Akram supervised the operation while officials and personnel from police, Elite Force, Dolphin Force, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Special Branch, technical sweeping teams, Bomb Disposal Squad, Rescue 1122 and Fire Brigade actively participated in the drill.

During exercise, the police and other law enforcement agencies responded promptly to a simulated terrorist attack scenario.

One mock terrorist was neutralized while two others were arrested in injured condition after an exchange of fire inside the Faizan-e-Madina Center premises.

Fire brigade vehicles swiftly extinguished a simulated blaze triggered during the operation, he added.

Civil Defense and Bomb Disposal Squad teams carried out detailed sweeping of the premises by using anti-mine and anti-bomb detectors and declared the area clear after thorough inspection, he added.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Bilal Umar said that objective of the mock exercise was to ensure full preparedness to tackle any untoward situation effectively and enhance coordination among different departments.

Such drills strengthened operational readiness and improved the response mechanism of law enforcement agencies to safeguard lives and property, he added.
