PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) The district administration on Wednesday imposed Section 144 to ensure the safety of citizens and air traffic, placing a two-month ban on aerial firing and kite flying in the city.
According to an official notification, the restrictions also include a ban on pigeon flying, drone operations, and the use of laser beams that could pose a threat to aircraft.
The ban will apply to Pashtakhara, Gulberg, Swati Phatak, Landi Akhun Muhammad, University Town, and adjoining localities, aiming to ensure flight safety near Bacha Khan International Airport and protect both residents and air traffic from potential hazards.
Authorities stated that the restrictions will remain in force for two months to minimize the risk of aerial accidents.
The notification further warned that strict legal action would be taken against violators.
Citizens have been urged to cooperate with the administration and comply with the imposed restrictions in the interest of public safety.
