Section 144 enforced in Abbottabad to maintain law & order

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) The district administration of Abbottabad on Saturday has enforced Section 144 in Abbottabad to ensure public safety and maintain law and order in line with the provincial government's Good Governance Roadmap.

Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Saleem Akram issued the orders imposing a ban on several activities across the district. The restrictions include wall chalking, unlawful public gatherings, provocative slogan chanting, illegal parking, one-wheeling, display of weapons, and use of loudspeakers without prior permission.

The order also prohibits the transportation of hazardous chemicals, distribution of objectionable material, sale of kerosene oil and petroleum products in open containers, illegal cutting of trees, and flying of drones and quadcopters within district limits.

According to officials, the directives have come into immediate effect and will remain enforced for one month.

The district administration has urged citizens to cooperate with authorities and strictly comply with the instructions to help maintain peace and public order in the area.
