Secretary public prosecution visits Sargodha

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Secretary Public Prosecution Punjab Salman Ghani has emphasized that the prosecution department plays a vital role in the justice delivery system and directed prosecution officers to perform their duties with honesty, professional competence, and merit to ensure timely disposal of cases and provision of justice to litigants.

He expressed these views during his visit to the Prosecution Department in Sargodha on Tuesday, where he reviewed pending cases, prosecution mechanisms, court proceedings, and administrative affairs.

During the visit, the secretary met officers and staff members, listened to their issues, and assured them that pending promotion cases would be resolved soon while departmental problems would also be addressed on priority.

Salman Ghani said that reforms in the Prosecution Department were being implemented rapidly in line with the directions of the Punjab government and that a modern system compatible with contemporary requirements was being introduced.

Later, Salman Ghani called on Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali at his office and briefed him about his district visits aimed at evaluating departmental performance.
