Secretary C&W reviews works of Chashma Bridge project, directs to expedite its construction

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) On special directive of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Provincial Minister for Communications and Works (C&W) Mir Saleem Ahmed Khosa, Secretary C &W Babar Khan on Wednesday paid a detailed visit to the under-construction Chashma Bridge project and reviewed the ongoing construction work.

Chief Engineer Quetta Zone Abdul Rahim Bangulzai, Executive Engineer Roads Kuchlak Division Qazi Sanaullah and other relevant officials were also present on the occasion of the visit.

The officials inspected different parts of the project while a detailed briefing was given regarding the ongoing construction activities, quality of construction and speed of the project.

Executive Engineer Roads Kuchlak Division Qazi Sanaullah informed about the technical aspects of the project, challenges faced in the use of funds and the expected completion period and said that the construction of the bridge is continuing keeping in mind the modern requirements.

He said that the completion of the project would provide better travel facilities to the surrounding areas.

On this occasion, Secretary Communications and Works (C&W) Babar Khan said that Chashma Bridge has been under construction for a long time, due to which the residents of the area are facing severe difficulties. Therefore, the project has been given an emergency status.

He directed to expedite the construction work and said that timely completion of this important project of public interest is among the priorities of the government.

Secretary Babar Khan also listened to the problems of the residents of the area during the visit and directed the Executive Engineer Roads Kuchlak Division to resolve the problems being faced by the public related to the bridge on priority basis so that the citizens could benefit from the fruits of this project as soon as possible.
