Search operations against illegally residing foreign Afghan nationals continue in Larkana, Southern Sindh

LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Feb, 2026) In light of the directives of Inspector General of Police Sindh, Javaid Alam Odho, and Deputy Inspector General of Police Larkana/Sukkur Range, Nasir Aftab, the series of search operations against illegally residing foreign Afghan nationals continues in Larkana and Southern Sindh, while snap checking on internal and external routes has been made more effective.

In view of the current security situation, under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Police Officers, personnel from the police, lady police, intelligence staff, and other law enforcement agencies are jointly performing high-alert duties.

During the operation, searches were conducted in homes and hotels, and suspects were interrogated while their records were checked through the search app.

Snap checking is ongoing at all entry and exit points and important locations, where every vehicle is being thoroughly searched and suspicious individuals are being closely monitored.

Furthermore, foolproof security arrangements have been ensured at mosques, Imam Bargahs, and places where Tarawih prayers and other religious gatherings are being held, to provide a safe environment for citizens.

The DIG Larkana/Sukkur has issued clear instructions to make the search operation and snap checking process systematic and effective, while ensuring courteous behavior towards citizens, a professional attitude, and action strictly within the bounds of the law.

Under the coordinated security network, effective monitoring is being maintained across all districts of the Sukkur/Larkana Range.
