Scholars, digital screens guide pilgrims at major Miqat points

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd May, 2026) Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has intensified field guidance and digital awareness services at major Miqat sites ahead of the Hajj 1447 AH season to help pilgrims perform rituals correctly and avoid common mistakes related to Ihram procedures.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the ministry’s awareness campaign is being implemented through its Makkah Region branch and Taif Governorate department at key Miqat locations used by pilgrims arriving for Hajj.

The report said the services are focused mainly at Miqat Qarn Al-Manazil and Miqat Wadi Muharram, where qualified scholars and multilingual translators have been deployed to provide direct guidance to pilgrims regarding Ihram regulations and Hajj procedures.

Authorities said the initiative aims to reduce procedural errors and help pilgrims begin their spiritual journey in an organized and informed manner.

SPA told APP that the ministry has also introduced interactive digital screens, smart applications and translated printed materials to provide religious and organizational guidance in multiple languages.

The report added that the digital and field-awareness services are helping pilgrims better understand Hajj instructions while improving communication and guidance at major entry points leading to the holy sites.
