SCCI hosts session on meat export

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) organized a comprehensive session focusing on advancements in feedlot fattening practices and the emerging potential of Sialkot’s halal meat export market.

The session was moderated by Mumtaz Khan Manais, former Livestock Minister of Punjab and former Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Punjab Agriculture and Meat Company (PAMCO), along with Binyamin Shaukat, Chief Executive Officer of Smart Zaraat.

Syed Ahtesham Mazhar, President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), chaired the meeting.

Former Mayor Sialkot Chaudhry Touheed Akhtar and Dr. Aslam Dar also attended the session among the distinguished participants.

During the discussion, the speakers highlighted modern feedlot fattening techniques, value addition in livestock, and the importance of developing internationally compliant halal meat processing and export infrastructure. The session also emphasized the vast opportunities available for Sialkot’s business community in tapping into the growing global demand for premium halal meat products.
