ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Wednesday upheld the Lahore High Court’s decision granting bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ejaz Ahmad Chaudhry in two cases related to the May 9 incidents, while disposing of appeals filed by the Punjab Prosecution seeking cancellation of his bail.

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi heard the case. The bench also comprised Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui and Justice Gul Hassan Aurangzeb.

During the hearing, Additional Advocate General Punjab Ahmad Raza Gilani informed the court that the Supreme Court had earlier directed that trials in the May 9 cases be completed within four months.
