Saudi ministry of hajj opens licensing for overseas pilgrimage service company; deadline set for 14 Muharram

MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH/ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially commenced the registration process for licensing companies serving overseas pilgrims for the upcoming Hajj season 1448 AH. This initiative is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of services provided to the "Guests of the Merciful."

According to the official announcement, the Primary objective of this move is to support a more efficient, well-organized, and higher-quality experience, ensuring a serene environment for pilgrims arriving from across the globe. Aspiring companies seeking to obtain a license can submit their applications from 10 Muharram until the deadline on 14 Muharram 1448 AH.

To ensure that only highly competent and qualified entities are entrusted with this responsibility, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has laid down stringent eligibility criteria.

Under these regulations, hospitality service providers must hold a valid license from the Ministry of Tourism with a quality rating of no less than four stars. Additionally, the applicant airline must be recognized as one of the national carriers.

Eligible companies are also required to meet comprehensive financial solvency requirements and successfully clear the approved evaluation and selection standards.

The Ministry emphasized in its explanatory note that meeting the preliminary application requirements does not guarantee final selection or approval. All submitted applications will undergo rigorous scrutiny and evaluation subject to the approved competitive selection criteria. To facilitate the process, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has provided an online portal along with a QR code, urging interested companies to complete their registration with all required documentation within the stipulated timeframe.
