Saudi ministers, tech leaders discuss AI-driven future of Hajj services

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Digital Entrepreneurship Council (CODE) hosted Tawfig Al-Rabiah in Jeddah for discussions on the use of technology and artificial intelligence to improve services for pilgrims during Hajj and Umrah.

According to SPA, the meeting was held at Dar Al-Hekma University in the presence of Abdullah Alswaha along with entrepreneurs and investors from the Makkah Region.

Participants discussed ways to use digital technologies, artificial intelligence and innovative solutions to improve the Hajj and Umrah experience and enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims.

The report said the gathering also focused on supporting technology startups and helping them develop scalable digital solutions for pilgrim services.

During the event, officials toured the CODE Lab at the university where entrepreneurs and startup companies showcased technological models and digital innovations designed to support Hajj, Umrah and visitor services.

The council stressed the importance of enabling startups and investors to benefit from opportunities in the Hajj and Umrah sectors while strengthening the Kingdom’s digital economy and innovation ecosystem.
