LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) Chief Executive Officer Mian Kashif Ashfaq has said on Tuesday that Saudi investors were showing keen interest in Pakistan’s handmade carved furniture and were exploring opportunities for joint ventures, investment and technology collaboration with local manufacturers.
According to a message received here from Jeddah, a six-member PFC delegation led by Mian Kashif Ashfaq is currently visiting Saudi Arabia to promote Pakistan’s furniture industry and strengthen business ties with Saudi stakeholders.
Speaking during meetings with investors and business leaders, he said Saudi counterparts highly appreciated the craftsmanship, quality and intricate wood-carving skills of Pakistani artisans, particularly in the production of traditional and luxury furniture.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>They observed that Pakistani handmade furniture has strong potential in Gulf markets due to its unique designs, durability and competitive pricing.
He expressed the hope that joint investment initiatives would further strengthen bilateral trade relations and facilitate the transfer of modern technology and expertise to Pakistan’s furniture industry.
Other members of the delegation include Raja Safdar Khan, Chaudhry Muhammad Afzal, Faisal Chaudhary,
Mati-ur-Rasool and Anwar Ali.
