SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha, Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, chaired a meeting on Wednesday to review the implementation of the Immunisation Card Project, an initiative aimed at digitising children's vaccination records across the district.
According to the spokesperson for the DC office here, the officials briefed participants on the project, which is being launched jointly by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and the Health Department. Under the initiative, children will be issued a Digital Immunisation Card, enabling complete vaccination records to be securely maintained and accessed online.
The meeting was informed that the digital system would strengthen monitoring of routine immunisation, improve vaccination coverage, and ensure greater transparency and accuracy of health records.
Officials said the project would begin with a pilot phase in two union councils, scheduled for completion within 60 days.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Following the successful completion of the pilot, the initiative will be expanded to all 167 union councils of Sargodha district within the next 120 days.
The meeting was also informed that the fee for the Digital Immunisation Card has been fixed at Rs 50 for the standard service, while the urgent service will cost Rs500.
Addressing the meeting, the DC described the integration of children's vaccination records into a digital system as a significant milestone for public health.
He directed the relevant departments to complete the pilot project within the stipulated timeframe to ensure its timely district-wide implementation.
Chief Executive Officer of the District Health Authority, Dr Kashif Nabeel Azam, Deputy Director NADRA Sargodha Region, Muhammad Nasir, and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
