SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry has imposed Section 144 across the district to ensure public health, cleanliness and law and order during Eid-ul-Adha.
According to an official notification issued on Tuesday, the burning, roasting or disposal of sacrificial animal remains including heads, trotters, hides and other waste on roads, streets, markets, open spaces or any unauthorized location has been strictly prohibited throughout the district.
The order stated that such activities cause foul smell, environmental pollution and inconvenience to the public, besides posing a threat to public peace and safety.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The notification further banned the dumping of animal waste, blood and other sacrificial remains into sewerage lines, drains, streets, open plots, canals and rivers.
The Deputy Commissioner said that all relevant departments would remain active to ensure proper disposal of sacrificial waste during Eid-ul-Adha.
He also urged citizens to cooperate with the district administration in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
He warned that strict legal action would be taken against violators of Section 144.
The restrictions will remain in force across the district from May 27 to June 2, 2026.
