MAKKAH MUKARRAMAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Wednesday expressed complete satisfaction over the state-of-the-art facilities being provided to Pakistani pilgrims in the tent city of Mina and Arafat campuses, stating that this year's Hajj operation would be exemplary and significantly better than previous years.
The Minister expressed these views during a media interview following an extensive site visit to the newly established tents in Mina and Arafat.
He was accompanied by Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Abrar Ahmed, Director General Pakistan Hajj Mission Abdul Wahab Soomro, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Al-Rajhi Company, Bandar bin Abdullah Al-Rajhi.
Sardar Yousaf visited the designated zones within the temporary tent city of Mina where Pakistani pilgrims will reside. During the visit, the Minister was thoroughly briefed on the smart management systems, including the deployment of sofa-cum-beds, a digital entry system utilizing Nusk Card scanning, bag hangers inside tents, and external information boards displaying pilgrims' credentials at the entrance gates.
Expressing pleasure with the arrangements, he noted that the tents are fully equipped with modern air conditioners, pillows, blankets, and separate, well-maintained washrooms for men and women.

He explained that pilgrims would be able to directly enter their respective camps immediately after disembarking at the Arafat Railway Station’s 'S3' block.
He added that these camps would offer round-the-clock catering services from mega kitchens serving fresh meals, along with chilled water dispensers, cold drink freezers, and ice cream.
Addressing the medical and spiritual requirements of the pilgrims, the Minister announced that 24-hour operational medical clinics, staffed with Pakistani doctors and paramedical personnel, have been set up in every camp. Furthermore, large digital screens have been installed inside the camps to telecast the Hajj sermon and prayers live, with dedicated arrangements made to broadcast the urdu translation of the sermon simultaneously.
Sardar Yousaf concluded by reassuring that Pakistani Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj (Hajj volunteers) and Maktab supervisors will remain deployed in the field 24/7 across Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Jamarat to provide continuous guidance and facilitate the safe return of the pilgrims to their accommodations.
