SAPM Haroon meets LCCI, FCCI delegations

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th May, 2026) Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries and Production Haroon Akhtar Khan on Wednesday held a meeting with delegations from the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).

During the meetings, detailed discussions were held on the upcoming Federal budget, taxation, economic growth, and the role of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in strengthening the national economy, said a news release.

Special assistant said that the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for economic growth are producing positive results and that economic indicators are gradually improving.

He emphasized that the government is committed to creating a business-friendly environment and is playing the role of a facilitator for the business community. The upcoming federal budget would bring positive measures for both the business community and the common people of Pakistan. With the support and hard work of businessmen and SMEs, Pakistan’s economy could achieve rapid and sustainable growth, he added.

The presidents of LCCI and FCCI appreciated the efforts of the prime minister and special assistant for promoting economic stability and supporting the business sector.
