"Sanjhi Sabzi, Muft Sabzi” Project reviewed

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jul, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur, Syed Hassan Raza chaired a review meeting to discuss the implementation of the Punjab Government's "Sanjhi Sabzi, Muft Sabzi" (Shared Vegetables, Free Vegetables) initiative, launched under the public welfare vision of Chief Minister Punjab.

The meeting reviewed various aspects of the project, including the identification of cultivable government land, vegetable cultivation, and the formulation of a comprehensive strategy to provide citizens with fresh, high-quality vegetables free of cost. Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner said the initiative is a unique welfare program aimed at reducing the impact of inflation and providing direct relief to the public.

He noted that, in addition to ensuring the availability of fresh vegetables, the project would make productive use of unused government land for the benefit of the community.

Syed Hassan Raza directed all government departments to immediately identify vacant and cultivable land under their administrative control to ensure the timely implementation of the project. He instructed that available land at government schools, colleges, universities, rest houses, circuit houses, agricultural farms, livestock farms, and other public properties be brought under vegetable cultivation through a coordinated and effective implementation plan.
