ISLAMABAD: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Feb 20th, 2026) Sania Ashfaq, the former wife of Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim, has shared screenshots of WhatsApp messages reportedly sent by the cricketer, accusing him of infidelity, neglecting their children, and pressuring her to undergo an abortion.
Over the past few days, Sania Ashfaq posted multiple messages on Instagram in which she made serious allegations against the 37-year-old cricketer. The shared screenshots, dating from July 2025, suggest that Imad Wasim warned her against contacting him or her family, threatening legal action in case of non-compliance.
According to the messages, Sania, who was pregnant at the time, had requested that Imad be present during the birth of their child. The screenshots indicate that Imad allegedly refused her request and warned of filing a police complaint if she failed to comply with his conditions.
Sania Ashfaq had previously shared a video message in which she accused Imad Wasim of coercing her into abortion in December 2023, calling him a “murderer” and claiming to possess evidence supporting her allegations.
She also urged Islamabad United to take action in accordance with their rules and values.
Furthermore, she appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi to take notice of the matter and initiate an investigation.
Imad Wasim and Sania Ashfaq were married in 2019 and divorced in December 2025. The cricketer, who has represented Pakistan in 55 One-Day Internationals and 75 T20 matches, has previously described the end of his first marriage as one of the most challenging chapters of his life, while expressing deep love for his children.
He had stated that despite the difficulties, the experience gave him the greatest blessings in life — his children — for whom he feels immense love beyond words.
