Salma Butt paid a visit to Bahawalpur to review arrangements aimed at controlling prices
of essential commodities during Ramzan.
During her visit, she received a detailed briefing from district officials regarding measures taken
to ensure the availability of essential food items at government-notified rates.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza and other officials briefed her about price control.
She was informed that essential commodities are being provided across the district at officially
fixed prices, while daily monitoring of market rates is being carried out to prevent overcharging and hoarding.
The special assistant expressed satisfaction over the arrangements and emphasized that the government
is committed to protecting consumers’ rights and ensuring food security.
She directed the district administration to continue strict monitoring and take prompt action against profiteers to facilitate maximum relief for the public during Ramzan.
