HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Jul, 2026) Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industry President Muhammad Saleem Memon expressing concern over the sealing of shops located on the properties of Sindh Police Welfare Foundation located in Chotki Ghitti has requested to find permanent solution to tenancy issues related to properties of Sindh Police Welfare Foundation.
In a statement on Wednesday. Saleem Memon said that the chamber fully abides court orders, rule of law and respect for state institutions, however, as a result of this action, hundreds of traders and their families are facing severe economic hardships.
He said that the HCSTSI has already written a letter to the Chief Minister Sindh on this issue, requesting for a permanent solution to the tenancy issues related to the properties of Sindh Police Welfare Foundation, transparent policy formulation and protection of the legitimate interests of the affected tenants.
He said that the Hyderabad Chamber of Small Traders & Small Industry is in constant touch with the traders’ representatives of Chotki Gitti and Al-Raheem Shopping Center and is effectively raising the legitimate concerns of the affected traders with the relevant authorities, the Sindh government and other higher forums.

He said that the Hyderabad Chamber had sent detailed letters to the Sindh Chief Minister last year and recently as well, apprised him of the possible consequences of this issue and requested for the formulation of a comprehensive policy for the properties of the Sindh Police Welfare Foundation, but due to the lack of timely policy, hundreds of traders and their families are facing severe difficulties.
He demanded that the Sindh government intervene immediately and take practical steps for a lasting solution to this issue so as to end the unrest in the business community and save the affected families from further hardship.
