MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jul, 2026) The Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Department has launched a Sahulat Desk to facilitate farmers under Chief Minister Punjab's development schemes for the livestock sector.
Widowed and divorced women in Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions will be provided animals free of cost under a poverty alleviation initiative, Senior Veterinary Officer Dr Jamshaid Akhtar told APP.
Under the Veterinary Internship Programme, veterinary graduates will receive a monthly stipend of Rs60,000, while para-vets will be paid Rs40,000, he said.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The Chief Minister Punjab Livestock Card scheme, however, is applicable across the entire province, Dr Jamshaid Akhtar said.
He said the Sahulat Desk would serve as a single-window facility, enabling livestock farmers to access these schemes conveniently. Farmers, widows and divorced women would be imparted all information related to facilities being given by Punjab government.
