HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th Mar, 2026) Syeda Qurat Shah, In-charge of the Safe House Women Complaint Cell (District Jamshoro) stated that the institution is continuously working with dedication and effectiveness to resolve the issues faced by women and to ensure their protection.

On a daily basis, women contact the Women Complaint Cell to register complaints regarding various matters, including domestic violence, harassment, family disputes, forced marriages, child custody, and maintenance.

She explained that women who approach the Safe House are provided with legal guidance, psychological counseling, protection, security, and temporary shelter when required, so that they can pursue solutions to their problems in a safe and supportive environment.

According to Syeda Qurat Shah, in some cases reconciliation between the parties is also facilitated with mutual consent in order to preserve family relationships. However, the rights and safety of women are always given top priority in such matters.

She emphasized that the privacy and dignity of women approaching the Women Complaint Cell are strictly maintained, and no personal information or case details of any woman are disclosed publicly.

She further stated that, with the cooperation of the district administration, the Deputy Commissioner, police authorities particularly the SSP and other relevant institutions effective measures are being taken to provide women with timely justice and protection.

She also informed the public that the Women Development Department’s toll-free helpline 1094 is available 24 hours a day, where women can register complaints and seek guidance.

In conclusion, Syeda Qurat Shah appealed to the media, civil society, and all concerned institutions to work together for the protection of women’s rights and the resolution of their issues, so that women in society can live with safety, dignity, and respect.
