Safe City, PITB, PTA discuss modern communication solutions for ICT Police

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Safe City officials held an important meeting with representatives of the Punjab Information Technology board (PITB) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to review progress on modern communication initiatives.

An official told APP on Thursday that Director Systems Safe City Faraz Memon and Deputy Director NOC Imtiaz Ahmed participated in the meeting along with their technical teams.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the progress of ongoing collaborative efforts between the institutions aimed at enhancing the communication capabilities of Islamabad Police through modern technologies.

The participants reviewed developments made in previous meetings and deliberated on measures to further accelerate and improve the implementation of advanced communication systems.

The official said that the initiative is part of broader efforts to equip Islamabad Police with technology-driven solutions to strengthen operational efficiency, coordination, and response mechanisms.

Safe City Islamabad reaffirmed its commitment to leveraging modern technology and inter-institutional collaboration to support effective policing and public safety in the Federal capital.
