HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th May, 2026) The Sindh Agriculture Micro finance Company (SAFCO) organized an event to mark the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq (Battle of Truth) here on Saturday, paying tribute to the armed forces and martyrs of war.
Addressing the gathering at the company's office in Qasimabad, SAFCO Group Founder resident Dr Suleman G Abro said peace, stability, and prosperity were the fundamental aspirations of every nation.
He added that the world was rapidly changing, with countries and institutions competing in the field of modern technology to ensure the safety, development, and welfare of people.
He further stated that the purpose of the ceremony was to acknowledge the performance of national institutions that had brought pride to the country.
Referring to the destruction caused by wars, he said such conflicts not only resulted in the loss of human lives but also pushed nations into economic and social crises.
Highlighting the humanitarian situation in Palestine, Dr Abro said the martyrdom of thousands of innocent children was a grave question for humanity.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Referring to incidents such as the Minab school tragedy caused by an American-Israeli bombardment in Iran, he added that such events deeply shake the conscience of the world.
Dr Abro said every civilized person believed that war should be avoided and that world leaders and policymakers should seriously consider the suffering of humanity.
Describing tensions in the middle East as alarming for the global economy, he pointed out that the effects were being felt worldwide because of the integrated global system of the present day world.
SAFCO Governing board Chairperson Prof Dr Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar said the 'Battle for Truth' symbolized patriotism, peace, justice, and truth, and that Pakistan’s importance at the global level had increased following its success.
The company's Managing Director Syed Sajjad Ali Shah said Pakistan had always advocated peaceful resolution of conflicts, which had earned the country respect internationally.
SAFCO's Dr Ejaz Khonahro, Bashir Ahmed Abro, Zeb-un-Nisa Mallah and Zeeshan Memon also expressed their views.
