SACM Shoaib appreciates TPC in promoting inter-sect harmony

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jun, 2026) Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab for Inspection Team Shoaib Mirza on Thursday appreciated the role of religious scholars, peace committees and the administration in maintaining law and order and promoting inter-sect harmony during Muharram.

He presided over Tehsil Peace Committee (TPC) meeting in Bhalwal in which Commissioner Sargodha Hafiz Shaukat Ali, RPO, deputy commissioner, DPO and members of the core committee of the District Peace Committee were present.

Shoaib Mirza said all processions and majalis routes had been cleared, the security plan was being effectively implemented and all necessary measures had been completed to facilitate mourners.

On the occasion, the Core Committee Convener Qari Ahmad Ali Nadeem presented a detailed report on the law and order situation across the district, visits to various tehsils and Muharram arrangements.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali said arrangements were also being made for the sprinkling of rose water, provision of cold drinking water and distribution of fruits and other essential items along procession routes for the convenience of mourners.

He directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure exemplary arrangements during Muharram-ul-Haram.

Participants of the meeting appreciated the special interest shown by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and lauded the efforts of the district administration and Punjab Police. They also assured full cooperation for the peaceful observance of Muharram across the district.
