RUDA launches crackdown on defaulters

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) The Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) has intensified operations against defaulters and illegal structures in different areas.

Under the supervision of the Development and Building Control Department, deputy directors conducted an operation on Sagian Road and closed the defaulter Al-Khair Restaurant, while Omar Ashraf Warehouse, Akbar Building Store and Mian Estate were also sealed for non-payment of commercial dues.

On the other hand, the Town Planning Wing conducted operations against unmapped and illegal structures in different areas of Samanabad zone.

Under the supervision of MO Planning Dr. Rai Imtiaz, operations were carried out in Nunarian, Ichhra, Paki Thatti, Shah Din Scheme, Rustam Park and Pathar Market, where 7 illegal buildings were demolished and 7 were sealed.

According to the authorities, operations against constructions against approved plans will continue in the future.
