DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jul, 2026) The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) monitoring team intensified its enforcement campaign against passenger transport vehicles, taking action against operators involved in safety and fare violations on various routes across the district.
Acting on the directives of RTA Secretary Shaukat Iqbal, the monitoring team carried out inspections and initiated legal action against vehicles found using illegally installed LPG cylinders, overcharging passengers, and carrying commuters beyond the permitted seating capacity, here on Friday.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>The RTA said the ongoing campaign was also aimed at ensuring compliance with the government's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), which were focused on passenger safety, the provision of quality transport services, improved public transportation standards, and strict adherence to transport laws and regulations.
The authority urged all transport operators to comply with traffic rules, government-approved fare schedules, and safety regulations to ensure safe, reliable, and quality travel facilities for passengers.
