RTA impounds three Public Service Vehicles on violation of SOPs

NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Secretary District Regional Transport Authority, and his team, carried out inspections of public transport vehicles operating on various roads to provide relief to passengers.

The initiative was taken on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani, During checking, strict action was taken against vehicles involved in overcharging fares, overloading passengers, and operating without valid legal documents.

As a result, three (03) Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) were impounded, while fines were imposed on several other vehicles. It was learnt that these vehicles were operating on the routes from Shaheed Benazirabad to Qazi Ahmed and Moro.

This action has been taken in line with the Deputy Commissioner’s directives to ensure public safety and strict compliance with transport laws.
