Rs 74 million allocated for Women Development Dept to empower them in budget 2026-27

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) Balochistan Government allocated Rs, 74 million for Women Development Department to empower women and fixed Rs, 579 million for non-development in the coming financial year 2026-27.

In the budged session, Balochistan Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani said that the aim of the Women Development Department is to empower women and to take all possible steps to protect their rights.

He said that women constitute half of our population and without including them in the national mainstream, the journey of national development and prosperity is impossible and incomplete, for the development of this department, our government has taken significant steps in the coming year, including the following:

He said that Rs 60 million has been allocated for the construction of a Women Handicraft Center in Naseerabad district, saying that provision of interest-free loans for women for business is an important step in promoting Women Entrepreneurs.
