SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) Commissioner Hafiz Shaukat Ali has said that sewerage projects worth approximately Rs55 billion are progressing across Sargodha Division, and Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) and relevant local government institutions are actively executing the schemes.
He expressed hope that upon completion, the projects would significantly resolve longstanding drainage issues and improve sanitation conditions in urban areas.
The Commissioner made these remarks during his visit to the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Wednesday, where he interacted with members of the business community.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Fahad Mehmood, Managing Director WASA, Managing Director Horticulture Authority, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation, and Assistant Commissioner Sargodha accompanied him.
He further stated that a special WASA project worth Rs 14 billion is also underway in Sargodha city. A deadline has been set for the month of May to clear work in major and sensitive areas to ensure that commercial activities continue smoothly and citizens face minimal inconvenience.
He urged traders to immediately inform the administration of any concerns regarding the pace or quality of development work.
