Rs 2.8 mln fine imposed on profiteers

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Mar, 2026) The district price control magistrates imposed over Rs 2.8 million fine on profiteers during ten days

of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.

According to official sources here Monday, the magistrates held 45,246 inspections in bazaars and markets and found 692 shopkeepers and vendors overcharging from consumers.

The teams also registered 150 cases, sealed 2,702 shops and arrested 2,297 retailers.
