Rs 140m to be spent on road construction from Rasalawala to Sitara colony

Funds amounting to Rs 140 million will be spent on construction of 2.5 kilometer long dual road from Rasalawala road to Sitara Colony

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Funds amounting to Rs 140 million will be spent on construction of 2.5 kilometer long dual road from Rasalawala road to Sitara Colony.

The one-side of the road will be completed by the end of June, while the Punjab government will be requested for release of funds for the construction of the other-side of the road during the next fiscal year.

This was disclosed during a meeting held here with Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar in the chair on Monday, attended by the PML-N leader Imran Sher Ali.

The Commissioner said that the sewerage system would also be streamlined to save the road from damages due to sewage and rainwater.

He said that provision of quality facilities to the citizens is a priority for which all available resources are being utilized.
