Rs. 1.09bn approved for upgradation of DHQ Hospital Kohat

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Jun, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has approved Rs1.09 billion for the upgradation of the Divisional Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Kohat as part of efforts to improve healthcare services in the district and surrounding areas.

The project will include the development of modern medical infrastructure, installation of a medical gas system, ICT facilities, solar energy systems, firefighting arrangements, improved water supply and sewerage networks, storm-water drainage, walkways and other supporting facilities.

The initiative aims to provide advanced healthcare services to residents of Kohat and neighboring districts, reducing the need for patients to travel to major cities for treatment.
