Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Apr, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan, Ghulam Mubashir Mekan, on Wednesday visited the Police Driving School in DI Khan, where he inaugurated a state-of-the-art simulation room aimed at enhancing driver training and road safety standards.
District Police Officer (DPO) DIKhan, Ziauddin Ahmad, accompanied the RPO during the visit.
The newly established simulation facility is designed to provide practical driving training in line with modern requirements, enabling citizens to learn safe driving practices in a controlled and technology-driven environment.
During the visit, the RPO inspected various sections of the driving school, including service counters and training units. He was briefed by the staff on digitalized procedures, online registration systems, testing mechanisms, data management, and citizen facilitation initiatives.
Terming the system aligned with modern policing standards, the RPO stressed the need for further improvements to enhance efficiency and transparency.
He also reviewed an ongoing classroom session, emphasizing the importance of safe driving, adherence to traffic laws, and responsible citizenship.
On the occasion, Mekan directed the concerned officials to ensure prompt, transparent, and uninterrupted service delivery to the public. He also instructed that the process of issuing driving licenses be made more streamlined, integrated, and time-bound.
The RPO further highlighted the importance of courteous behavior at service counters, effective guidance, and the promotion of a citizen-friendly environment.
He underscored that the effective use of technology, transparency, and public facilitation are key pillars of modern policing and must be ensured at all levels.
The RPO appreciated the performance of DPO Ziauddin Ahmad and the driving school administration, reaffirming the commitment to further improve the provision of modern, efficient, and accessible police services across the Dera region.
