RPO reviews surveillance, monitoring system of safe city project

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Mar, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Usman Akram Gondal paid a visit to the Safe City Project Multan and reviewed its overall performance and monitoring system aimed at improving security and crime prevention in the city.

During the visit, Incharge Safe City Project, SP Nasrullah Warraich briefed the RPO about various operational aspects of the project, including installation of surveillance cameras, monitoring procedures, and the role of the system in crime detection and prevention.

Speaking on the occasion, the RPO said that CCTV cameras installed at entry and exit points of the city, major urban areas, and busy locations were ensuring effective surveillance of criminal elements.

He added that the modern Safe City system has significantly strengthened crime control measures and enabled police to take strict action against offenders.

Usman Akram Gondal termed the Safe City Project an important milestone in safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, stating that the initiative was helping provide a safer environment to the public.

He reiterated that the police force was fully committed to eliminating crime through the effective use of modern technology.

The RPO directed the concerned officers to further enhance the efficiency of the monitoring system and ensure prompt response to any suspicious activity to maintain law and order in the region.
