RPO Rawalpindi briefs NIPA delegation on security, crime control measures

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) The officers participating in the Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC) of the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) visited the Regional Police Office (RPO) Rawalpindi and met the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi Region, Babar Sarfraz Alpa.

According to RPO spokesperson, the visiting delegation included Captain (Retd) Hamza Humayun, Mujeeb Ahmed, and Amir Shehzad. SSP RIB Zunaira Azfar and ADIG Naeem Akhtar Malik were also present during the meeting.

On the occasion, the RPO briefed the participants on the overall law and order situation in Rawalpindi Region, modern policing requirements, crime control measures, counter-terrorism strategies, emergency response mechanisms, community policing, and public-friendly initiatives.

Speaking to the delegation, Babar Sarfraz Alpa said that effective coordination and mutual cooperation among institutions are vital for ensuring national security, internal stability, and crisis management in the present era.

He added that Punjab Police is taking comprehensive measures to protect the lives and property of citizens through modern technology, intelligence-based operations, and professional training.

The RPO further stated that several reforms had been introduced in Rawalpindi Region to strengthen public trust, ensure prompt justice, and improve service delivery, while continuous training programmes were also underway to enhance the capacity of the police force.

The delegation was also briefed on Safe City projects, crime monitoring systems, emergency management, and various aspects of modern policing.

The visiting officers appreciated the professional capabilities of Rawalpindi Region Police, its efforts to maintain law and order, and its commitment to public service. They said such study visits play an important role in promoting coordination and exchange of experiences among different institutions.
