DERA GHAZI KHAN:

A robber who had injured a citizen during a robbery two days ago was arrested after being injured in a police encounter in Darkhast Jamal Khan on Tuesday.

According to Station House Officer (SHO) Shah Nawaz, the arrested man and his accomplices had snatched a motorcycle and cash from a citizen in the area and was fleeing when the police received information about the matter through the emergency helpline 15.

A police team rushed to the spot and chased the suspects. On seeing the police, the suspects opened indiscriminate fire.

The police retaliated in self-defence, resulting in an exchange of fire. During the shootout, one of the suspects, Bilal, a resident of Rakh Azmat Wala was hit by firing from his accomplices and injured.

The police arrested him on the spot along with weapons and two motorcycles.
