Road safety seminar held for livestock officials

FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Feb, 2026) A road safety and traffic awareness seminar was held at the civil veterinary hospital for the officers and staff of the district livestock department in collaboration with the traffic police here on Wednesday.

Chief Traffic Officer Nasir Javed Rana and Director Livestock Dr. Haider Ali Khan were chief guests.

Addressing the seminar, the CTO emphasized that compliance with traffic rules is not only a legal obligation but also a moral duty of all to protect human lives.

“We can save ourselves and others on roads by following the road safety principles”, he said.

The traffic officers during the seminar highlighted traffic rules, their importance, helmet importance for motorcyclists, disadvantages of using mobile phones while driving, importance of seat belts, dangers of over speeding and one-way violation, practical measures to prevent accidents and the role of government employees as responsible citizens.

A question and answer session was also held on the occasion, in which officers and staff sought guidance on various traffic-related issues.

Additional Director Livestock Dr. Rubina Anjum, Deputy Director Livestock Dr. Sohail Ahmed Anjum, DSP Traffic Police Irfan Kamboh, Incharge education Department Traffic Police Dr. Mubashar Bajwa and other officers were present in the seminar.

Later, the Chief Traffic Officer was briefed about the facilities provided by the livestock department for livestock farmers, including ultrasound, treatment and diagnosis of diseases.
