Rickshaw driver killed, two injured in road accident

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Feb, 2026) A 75-year-old rickshaw driver was killed while two women sustained critical injuries when a speeding rickshaw overturned after its tyre burst near Chak No 71-NB on Khushab Road on Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, the auto-rickshaw skidded off the road due to a sudden tyre burst near 8 Risala, resulting in the immediate death of the driver.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Naeem, a resident of Chak 66 NB Dharema. The rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured women, identified as 44-year-old Aziz Fatima and 60-year-old Kaneez Fatima, residents of Nawabpur, to Dr Faisal Masood Teaching Hospital.

Hospital officials confirmed that the condition of the injured victims was out of danger after providing necessary medical treatment.
