Revenue performance,digitization progress reviewed

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th May, 2026) Commissioner Gujranwala/Gujrat Division Muhammad Ali on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review revenue performance, recovery targets, and the ongoing digitization of land records in the district.

Deputy Commissioner(DC),Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi also attended the meeting. Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Waqas Safdar briefed participants that digitization of mouzas in the district is 99.6 percent complete and all 1,083 mouzas have been officially notified.

The meeting was informed that mutation fee recovery has reached 108 percent, while Advance Income Tax (AIT) recovery stands at 86.2 percent.Officials said AIT arrears have been fully recovered.

Progress on annual water rate collections and other outstanding dues was also reviewed.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General Saba Sehar, Assistant Commissioners Abdul Qadeer Zarkoon (Gujrat), Ahmed Sher Gondal (Kharian), Sadia Dogar (Sara e Alamgir), and other revenue officers attended the meeting.

The commissioner directed officials to prioritize public facilitation and align the revenue system with modern requirements. He said land record digitization is a key administrative necessity and urged officers to stay updated with modern systems to improve service delivery.

He added that revenue teams were a key asset of the government and their performance plays an important role in strengthening public trust.
