Resolution submitted in PA to appreciate diplomatic efforts of PM, Army Chief at global level

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Apr, 2026) A resolution was submitted in the Punjab Assembly (PA) to appreciate the diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Army Chief Syed Asim Munir at the global level.

The resolution was submitted to the Punjab Assembly by PML-N Member of Assembly Uzma Kardar.

According to the text of the resolution, the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar revealed Pakistan’s important role in reducing tensions in the middle East, which averted the threat of global catastrophe.

If there were no effort of Pakistan for a peace agreement, there would have been a threat of nuclear war in the world, innocent people would have been killed and the world’s economy would have been destroyed.

Pakistan’s successful diplomacy led to negotiations in Islamabad and important progress was made between the US and Iran. The world is acknowledging that Pakistan played a key role in establishing peace, it reads.

The resolution states that international organizations including the United Nations are paying tribute to Pakistan's diplomatic efforts, the eyes of the Muslim Ummah are on Pakistan.

Pakistan will continue its efforts for a peace agreement between Iran, the US and Israel for peace in the world, Iran-US talks have increased the confidence of Britain, European countries and Canada in Pakistan.

The resolution presented by Uzma Kardar further states that the Islamabad talks of April 10 have acquired historical importance, this house proposes the Nobel prize for PM Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The content of the resolution further reads that Pakistan brought the US and Iran to the negotiating table with excellent diplomacy, while Pakistan will make the world a cradle of peace with a successful mediation policy for the Iran-US peace agreement.
