Rescue 1122 saves trapped people from shop fire

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) Rescue 1122 successfully rescued the people trapped in a smoke-filled building

in upper portion of a shop near Degree College Abdullahpur and brought the fire

under control after hectic efforts.

Rescue 1122 spokesman said here on Monday the fire erupted in the upper section

of a commercial building near Degree College Abdullahpur.

On information, Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the spot and immediately launched

rescue and firefighting operations.

Initial investigations revealed that a room on the upper floor had been rented out

to six individuals. The solar batteries had been placed near the staircase outside

the room and the fire reportedly broke out in that area before spreading smoke

throughout the building.

During the incident, three occupants managed to leave the room safely before

conditions worsened. However, two other people were unable to use the staircase

due to intense smoke and moved to the balcony to seek safety.

Rescue 1122 team carried out a prompt and professional rescue operation,

safely evacuating the trapped individuals from the balcony and shifting them

to a secure location.

The firefighters also brought the fire under control after hectic efforts. However,

no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, he added.
