Rescue 1122 responds to 191 emergencies in one week

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Rescue 1122 Lakki Marwat responded to 191 emergencies of different nature during the last week.

According to spokesman, during these emergencies182 patients were safely shifted to hospitals while also providing first aid and emergency assistance on the spot to several victims.

He says District Emergency Officer Bilal Afridi led rescue teams in carrying out prompt operations across the district in response to various accidents and emergencies.

He adds the department received a total of 3,266 calls during the week, including 1,561 fake and unnecessary calls, while 1,514 were informational calls.

The Rescue 1122 responded to 154 medical emergencies, 20 road traffic accidents, three incidents involving fights and gunshot injuries, and five fire incidents.

All victims were provided immediate medical assistance and shifted safely to hospitals.

It also carried out operations referral service, responding to 56 emergencies.

Among these, 14 patients were transferred within the district, while 42 patients were shifted from one district to another.

He informed that a total of 60 patients benefited from the referral service during the week.
