Rescue 1122 conducts mock exercise for Muharram

KASUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) The Rescue 1122 organized a mock emergency exercise on Wednesday to enhance preparedness for any potential emergency situation during holy month of Muharram.

According to a spokesperson, officials and personnel from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), police and Civil Defence participated in the exercise alongside Rescue 1122 teams.

The drill was aimed at assessing the preparedness, coordination and response time of all relevant departments in dealing with any untoward incident during the holy month.

During the exercise, participating teams practiced timely response at the incident site, provision of first aid to injured persons and their safe evacuation to secure locations.

The District Emergency Officer appreciated the cooperation among all participating institutions and said that effective coordination was essential to ensuring the protection of citizens' lives and property.
