Rescue 1122 cancels staff leaves, puts emergency services on high alert for Eid

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) The Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has cancelled all leaves of its operational staff across the province to ensure uninterrupted emergency services during Eid-ul-Fitr.

Director General Shah Fahad said all personnel would perform duties as per duty rosters and remain fully prepared to respond to any emergency situation.

He said medical camps would be established at major tourist destinations, while specialized diver teams would be deployed at rivers, dams, and bathing areas to deal with any untoward incidents in a timely manner.

The DG added that rescue teams, ambulances, and other resources across the province have been placed on high alert to provide immediate assistance to the public during Eid.

He also urged citizens to adopt precautionary measures during the festive period and to contact Rescue 1122 promptly in case of any emergency.
