Renovation, rehabilitation of General Bus Stand Layyah inaugurated

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2026) The renovation, rehabilitation, and repair project of the General Bus Stand Layyah was formally inaugurated, officials said.

According to the spokesperson of the district administration, Deputy Commissioner Layyah, Asif Ali Dogar, laid the foundation stone for the bus stand renovation project. District officers and media representatives actively participated in the inaugural ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Commissioner Asif Ali Dogar said the bus stand would be equipped with modern facilities at an estimated cost of Rs 90 million.

He added that the project is expected to be completed within 10 months, after which passengers will benefit from spacious waiting areas and modern washroom facilities.

He emphasized that the bus stand reflects the city’s image, and its beauty and cleanliness contribute to a positive impression of the city. He further stated that hotels and shops within the bus stand premises would be reorganized and refurbished, enhancing the overall aesthetic environment.
