PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) On the directives of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Provincial Minister for Religious and Minority Affairs Sahibzada Adnan Qadri visited the Gurdwara in Mardan on Tuesday following a tragic incident which claimed life of a couple.
Members of the Provincial Assembly also accompanied him during the visit.
The minister strongly condemned the unfortunate incident and expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives. He extended heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and assured them of the provincial government’s full support.
During the visit, Adnan Qadri announced a grant of Rs. four million for the Gurdwara to facilitate its needs and maintenance.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the government was committed to safeguarding the rights and welfare of minority communities and ensuring their protection across the province.
He reiterated that strict action would be taken against those responsible for the incident and assured that all possible measures would be adopted to promote interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence.
The accompanying lawmakers also expressed solidarity with the Sikh community and offered condolences to the affected families.
